I first read a nugget of this book as a Modern Love essay, and loved it then. The fleshed out version is just wonderful. You’d think: what possibly could be said about marriage that hasn’t already been said before? And yet, Ada Calhoun, nails it. Chapter after chapter. This book made me want to shake my husband awake to re-read him passages in a very loud voice. If you’re in a marriage of any sort, read this book. (And, I dare you not to look at the backjacket at her author’s photo at least seven times.)
