Waiting by the Mailbox

Rodham—Curtis Sittenfeld is so good. Her American Wife and Eligible are two of my favorites. Her newest book imagines what would have happened if Hillary Rodham hadn’t married Bill Clinton. (Out May 19)

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes— the prequel to The Hunger Games series. Need I say more? (Out May 19)

Stray: A Memoir — Stephanie Danler’s Sweetbitter is a book I’ve recommended to so many. Her newest book is about growing up amongst addiction. (Out May 19)

The Lying Life of Adults — from my all-time favorite series, My Brilliant Friend, Elena Ferrante’s creates a new story in a divided Naples. (Out September 1)

Transcendent Kingdom– I loved Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing. Her new book centers around a Ghanaian family in Alabama. (Out September 8)
