The Paris Wife

If you’re late to the party like me, don’t fret, The Paris Wife is every bit as good now as it was in 2012 when it was first written. Told mostly from the perspective of Hadley Richardson, Ernest Hemingway’s wife, The Paris Wife is a book about love and betrayal set in glittering and bohemian Paris in the 1920’s. Inspired by Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast, Paula McLain wondered about the woman behind the man. Hadley was Hemingway’s first of many wives but arguably his most beloved. Try to resist being swept away by their story and dismayed by their fall.
