All This Could Be Yours

All This Could Be Yours centers around Victor Tuchman, the villainous and charming patriarch of the Tuchman family, who is a textbook narcissist. The book is set in New Orleans, over the course of just a few short days, and interspersed with plenty of dips into the past. Flipping from family member to family member, we get a very clear picture of this husband and father and all the folks in his orbit. The book takes a minute to gather steam, but some place around page fifty, you can’t seem to tear your eyes away from this accident scene of human. (If you haven’t read Jami Attenbeg’s earlier book, The Middlesteins—- you should!)
