If you read and loved The Tattooist of Auschwitz, you will most definitely want to read this book next (perhaps with some space in between!) Cilka’s Journey is a researched but imagined story of one unbelievably brave and resilient woman who survived Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp, only to be sent upon Liberation to a Siberian prison camp, inside the Arctic Circle. Cilka’s story is gutting, powerful and not to be missed.
