The Immortalists

It is 1969 on the Lower East Side, and on a summer day excursion, the four Gold siblings discover the exact date of each of their deaths. The novel divides into four separate narratives, which can almost be read as four short stories, as readers follow each sibling’s journey to their end. Chloe Benjamin draws out some characters better than others but ultimately weaves a compelling tale of a family facing the unusual position of living life in the face of a known death.
